Our results!!  Samuel Adams Boston Lager was deemed the best of the beers to match with our own hand-rolled, Nicaraguan cigars, as well as several name brands.  The beer features a rich, creamy head and a big aroma with notes of fruit, caramel and a slightly hoppy finish.  This classic hand-crafted lager enhanced the flavor of our house brand, a blend of rich Nicaraguan tobaccos that offer a mix of mix of light spice and fruit.  On the brand side, the Villiger Talanga Double Robusto was deemed to be a perfect partner with the Boston Lager. Another Nicaraguan beauty, the Talanga boasts a Connecticut seed wrapper from Jalapa enveloping a Habano seed binder and a blend of three fillers provide a perfectly balanced blend in a powerful smoke.  Seems that Samuel Adams Boston Lager and Nicaraguan tobacco were made for each other. Really liked sweet Tabak with the lager

In second place was the surprising selection of Angry Orchard, a hard cider from Sam Adams that carries a zesty apple flavor with a punch that sneaks up on you.  The mild sweetness of the apples paired amazingly well with each cigar that was tried.

We also wanted to point out an Honerable Mention for the Drew Estates Tabak Especial.  This coffee-infused smoke proved to be a wonderful pairing partner with the Boston Lager.  Another Nicaraguan classic, the tobacco for the Tabak Especial is infused with estate-grown coffee before being aged to perfection.  The blend of the sweetness of this mix of tobacco and coffee offers a head-turning contradiction with the light hoppyness of the Boston Lager that came together surprisingly well –  like chocolate covered bacon!

  • Four hours of instruction and rolling time with our Torcedor
  • Learn to roll several different cigars
